Yet Another Spring Beauty Routine

Yet Another Spring Beauty Routine

Despite the current coronavirus situation, spring is just around the corner.

This is the time to adjust your beauty routine a little because your skin will not be exposed to the same aggressions as during the winter months.

Of course, your skin has basic needs all year round: to be cleansed, moisturized and protected.

But with the arrival of good weather, you can start to put aside richer cosmetics and prefer lighter formulations ideal for spring.

So I advise you to put away the thick creams if you don’t want to have oily skin.

A good exfoliation is also a good opportunity to get back on track.

For the cleansing of your skin

Go for an orange blossom hydrosol, for example, as it is fresh and light.

Use 1 day out of 3, an exfoliating cold surgras (Superfatted) soap.

Once a week, you can complete this routine with a homemade scrub like this one.

With natural make-up remover

I recommend sweet almond oil or apricot kernel oil added to your hydrosol.

Take advantage of this step to relax with a self-massage.

For Sun protection

Why not try making your own tanning oil.

The protection factor is low, which means you can’t expose yourself to the sun for hours, but it’s just right for spring.

Use coconut oil as a base. Here is the recipe:

  1. Melt the coconut oil in a water bath and let it cool until it starts to congeal again.
  2. Add true lavender essential oil at a ratio of 70 drops of essential oil per 100 ml of coconut oil. It’s up to you to see how much you want to make.
  3. Stir quickly and place in a sterilized jar with a lid.

Some advice if you have acne-prone skin

Use carrot, tea tree or rosemary with verbena hydrosol, more adapted to your skin and vegetable oil of nigella.

You can add 2 or 3 drops of essential oil of scented geranium or German chamomile (but be careful with the eyes in this case!).

For the moisturizing cream, it is better to choose a mattifying formulation; make-up should always be light.

Two detox options

Nothing like a change of season to do a little detox.

For this, I suggest birch sap or blackcurrant bud tea.

Birch sap is available in bottles or bricks in organic shops.

It is advisable to drink a glass every morning for 3 weeks.

The birch sap will drain your body and remineralize it, promoting a slight weight loss, appreciated after the excesses of winter.
